I love the look and feel of hardcovers, but I usually get paperback due to the arthritis in my hands. Most commonly, I read my Kindle Paperwhite, but physical books are my favorite.

It honestly just depends. I usually never buy hardbacks full price because they're just ridiculously expensive nowadays. ($30 for a book I could pay $10 for if I just wait or buy it somewhere else? No thanks.) That being said, I do enjoy reading hardbacks because I hate it when book spines get bent. So, I definitely try to find them at thrift stores and such. I do enjoy paperbacks too!

I thnk paperbacks are easier to hold as I read in bed a lot… although hard covers are nice for longevity if you’re going to keep a classic around.

At this point I either read digital or buy the hardback. Hardbacks will last longer and look nicer, so if I plan on re-reading a book then I'll buy the hardback. Everything else I get digital at this point. I used to buy soft covers but digital is so convenient.

I have a relative who does a "Little Free Library" so I give her my old paperbacks.

I would prefer paperback but I have no problem reading hardcover. Paperback in my opinion is just easier to handle. Hardcover can be a pain in the tush.

My favorite is hardcover, since I always end up bending paperbacks no matter how hard I try not to. It bends the binding in an unpleasant-looking way and makes my books look gross when displaying them on a bookshelf. I love having paperbacks since they take up less space, so I can display more, but I would rather have them look slick and new instead of tearing at the seams.
Books and stories provide wonderful knowledge and lessons, but I must agree with my father that experience garners wisdom.

I like paperback because that's what is mostly available for us here. However, sometimes I'm lucky to get my hands on some hardbacks.

First edition hardbacks will always have my heart! I've always loved hardback books because I could throw them in a bag and not worry about them being bent up. However, I'm traveling for work now and find it both lighter weight and easier to pack a paperback to go with me on my flights.

I like paperbacks because their lighter, but hardbacks have a regal feel to them.

I'm a proponent for paperback, always and forever. They're less expensive, less heavy to carry, and they don't ever come with those book jackets that I, without fail, inevitably lose. Hard covers are nice, but there are just too many disadvantages for me, and I prefer the way a paperback looks, anyway.

I prefer paperbacks to hardcovers cause they're way lighter and easy to carry around. Also, they're cheaper.

Yes! If it's a book and I can read it, the format doesn't matter. I do prefer physical form, though. I don't mind the computer, reader or phone, but there's something about holding that book, smelling it, feeling it. That just makes it more tangible and it feels good.
