I prefer paperbacks. Reading is much easier with a paperback.
And also it is cheaper.

Hardcover books are kinda expensive although the integrity of the book is well maintained but I go for paperback books they are cheaper.

I prefer hardcovers, even though most of my novels are paperbacks. This is because when I give them out they are returned ruined.

I'm a sucker for hardcover, especially if the book is super old! I love hardcover jackets, especially if they have a design on the inside. Paperback is usually nice because it's cheaper, but there's just something about hardcover

I go both ways... but I am more likely to choose a hardcover if given the option.

I prefer hardcover over paperback due to its robustness and ability to weather wear and tear more gracefully.

Hardcover! But in my country most books are in paperback because hardcover are expensive.

For general reading, I prefer paperbacks. More portable, can take multiple is desired due to the (normally) smaller size, and they take up way less space of my shelves!

Although for any type of reference book I honestly prefer hardcover. Being more robust, they tend to hold up better when kept open for longer periods of time - also the pages tend to lay flat and visibility much better!

Most of my books are hardcover. I guess I can't ever wait for the paperback version.
