It depends on the size of the book. Sometimes a hardcover with lots of pages makes my fingers hurt the way I hold books! Hardcover seems fancier though so I do like those. Paperback is more affordable usually, which is nice. Paperback is also easier to travel with because the books weigh less.

So I guess I like both for different reasons!

Hardback!!! I love how the weight of the book feels when I hold it. Not to mention the smell they always seem to have.

I like the feel of hardcover. Plus I can always dream about having a library with all those hardcover books stacked up to the ceiling. Too bad reading digital copies is so dang easy and convenient.

Hardcover seems to be more durable, and the cover art is more vibrant. But they're so heavy and can be awkward to hold. :techie-studyinggray: :?

I am neutral. However, I do have mainly hardcover copies of my favorite books.

I would have to agree partially on paper back books are a better choice. But I will say it depends on the handling of the book will determine the longevity of the book, it honestly depends on the owner.

Paperback of course... you can hold it up comfortably with one hand and swipe popcorn into your mouth with the other hand.

I usually buy paperwork because they are cheaper. But, if it's a book I have been waiting forever on & I know there is a great chance I will enjoy the book, then I will just purchase the hardcover.

Either is fine with me although I do prefer paperback as it is easier to carry and read anywhere, especially lying down

I think a paper back is a better choice, but hard covers are more comfortable to read.

Always paperback as they are so mush easier weightwise to hold.

I definitely prefer hardcover because they tend to stay open easier on their own.
