My first thought is No to spend time re-reading a book I didn't like in the first place I would feel as though I am wasting precious time that could be spent reading other books on my Must read list

I doubt I ever will. I have far too many other books to spend my time on. I'm not trying to re-read something I hated the first time around unless there is someone else who can convince me that I missed something important.

There are definitely some books I would consider re-reading. In high school I got bored very easily and I didn't like a lot of the books we had to read in English class. I think mostly because I was very young and I didn't have a lot of life experience so the themes and morals in the books were things I just could not relate to. Because the books were so unrelatable to me I had no interest in them. But now I feel like I would give them a second chance.

There are so many books to be explored and so little time to read them all. So if I am to re-read a book I didn't like the first time around, there has to be a really good reason or recommendation to revisit it. :)

Maybe. I mean, the majority of books I read now are of genres that I NEVER would have imagined myself reading...

I've never went back to try reading I book I've hated. I've had mixed feelings about a couple of books, almost to the point of disliking them. I have reread them and found that my opinions on it haven't really changed.

No point in re-reading a book you hated. Books are for one to enjoy, not to get frustrated by it. Life gives you plenty of frustrations already!

I would read a book again (and have) if it is something I have found interesting as I have gotten older. If it is a book that I have read recently and did not connect with I will not make another attempt. Life is too short and there are too many good books out there.

Never. There are endless amounts of books still left to be read, that I simply can't waste my time on rereading novels that did not live up to my expectations. Life's too short to read bad books.

I do not typically go back to re-read books that I hated or DNF. There are a few expectations from my childhood that I realized that I was not in the right point in my life to enjoy, but often times I hated the book for a reason (characters felt flat or plot lost my interest).

Depends, but probably yes if the book had been assigned for school, or was praised by someone I know.

Not really. If I hate it, then I'm done with it. Simple.

I don't think so. Usually when I hate a book, I try to avoid that book at all costs but if a friend or someone I trust says they really lovde the book and gives me good reasons for why he/she loved that book, I would probably consider reading the book again just to see it from their perspective.
