I don't really get rereading. I wanted to do so once with one of my favourite series but I couldn't, as I knew what would happen and saw it differently.

I've heard of this author so much but never read his works. Maybe I'll give this book a try.
Sure do, I hope you won't regret.

Your comment makes sense to me. Romances can be reread though, because you discover new details and feelings. There is really no point in thrillers or mysteries like seriously. If someone rereads them, it's only to connect the disclosure with the whole story.

I have reread quite a few of my books but the ones I reread the most are probably the Redwall series and anything star wars related.

I find myself rereading Persuasion by Jane Austen about once a year - typically in the summer, which is why I've been feeling the urge to reread this right now! It's my absolute favorite of Austen's works, but I've never been able to put my finger quite on why.

I reread the Bible quite often. I read certain chapter and verses, or sometimes entire books when I need encouragement in certain areas and seasons of my life. I find that it encourages and uplifts me. It also provides much-needed direction regardless of the issues that I may be facing at the time.

I also find myself going back to You, Inc. quite a few times. It's a great book on personal branding and positioning oneself for business success.

A Life God Rewards is another great book that I love to re-read. It helps me put life into perspective and helps me focus on what really matters. It helps me avoid the fluffy stuff and focus on the more important things in light of eternity.

Maybe I will give an unpopular opinion on this subject, but I have never read a book more than once. I just have so many books I still want to get to before I can reread any of my favorites.

I read "Americanah" so often that I can literally recite the first page. Silly as it may sound, Ifemelu's flaws make me feel better about myself. I guess curiousity has never been a crime. And then there's Obinze, who strangely gives me the hope that no matter how many mistakes I make, someone or some people are out there willing to welcome and accept me.

Hi everyone, I have a few books I keep returning to: The Lord of the Rings by J.R. Tolkien, The Wars of the Realm series by Chuck Black, The Thief by Megan Whalen Turner, Perelandria by C.S. Lewis, many of Shakespeare's stories (such as Cymbeline or Taming of the Shrew) and others.
