I do remove them but only while reading to prevent any damage.

I always remove the book jacket. It tends to tear or get frayed easily and I don't want to damage it more than time will.

I remove it when I read, but when I'm done reading, I put it back on the book.

I normally take off the jacket to read, and on occasion I do throw it away, especially if the actual outside of the book is prettier than the cover.

I take them off while I am reading the book and place it back on when I am done. I hate to damage them so I donโ€™t risk it.

I usually remove the jacket while reading actively, but put it back when the book is on the shelf.

Yeah I remove it when reading, but I don't throw it away. I just leave it on the self until I'm done with the book. The reason I do that is because the jackets have the primary book art, hardcovers usually just have some saying on the front or most of the time nothing. A good example is Harry Potter. The jacket has delightful artwork, underneath there's nothing.
A process cannot be understood by stopping it. Understanding must move with the flow of the process, must join it and flow with it.

The only person who can sympathize with and understand you, is you. So, be good to yourself.

I remove the dust jacket while I'm reading and once I finish reading the book it's time for the cover to be back and protecting the book.

I only remove it when I read the book so I don't damage it. Otherwise, it stays on the book.
