Though it's good to be known by people, it's more important if you're worth knowing.

Fairy tales are more than true: not because they tell us that dragons exist, but because they tell us that dragons can be beaten.

"--happiness is a twin-money and affection in equal measure."

- Linda Goodman's Sun Signs
I had never considered how true that was until I read it. For someone as sensitive as I am, ironically what I fear the most is being a housewife who does not make my own money. Not that I consider being a housewife a bad thing, let alone an easy thing-just not for me. Also whoever said money does not buy happiness...it does not, but it can provide ways to attain it. Higher education, therapist, traveling, or even access to free books in this forum since we still require money for the gadget and the internet.

I'd recommend Linda Goodman's Sun Signs to all the book lovers here regardless whether or not you're interested in astrology! The lady had a charming way with words. The book contains outdated values but that's a given, since it was written in 1968.

"Because nothing so perfect can last an eternity, can it? Like shooting stars. We see the usual stars above us every single night. Most people take them for granted, even forget they are there. But if a person sees a shooting star, they remember that moment forever, they even make a wish at its presence."

The test of a first-rate intelligence is the ability to hold two opposed ideas in the mind at the same time, and still retain the ability to function.
