I love how a book can lull you to sleep late at night. But on the other hand...a really good book can keep you awake for hours too!

Yes! And it seems so random some nights it puts me out in 10-15 minutes others I can read until 2am. It could even be the same book.

For me, it absolutely depends on the book I'm reading. Even if I'm tired, I can push through the sleepiness if the book is really good. I've absolutely accidentally pulled all-nighters before when I just couldn't put the book down. But if I'm just not feeling the book, I'll start to feel sleepy, like my body is telling me to go to something else otherwise it's naptime.

It’s very much the opposite for me, I get more awake when reading a book that I’m hooked into.

I don't usually get sleepy when reading...sometimes I even read for more than 8 hours nonstop and still finish sober...but when I read late in the night, especially when I had a busy day, I do feel sleepy.

Reading is my way to wind down for the night as well as relax during breaks throughout my day. I do often get sleepy during reading as well though and I feel that it may be psychologically connected to my habit of reading until I fall asleep.

I've had several people tell me that they think it could be the absolute relaxation that comes along with reading a book. I've had others say that it's because my eyesight isn't the best (have to wear glasses while reading)...so, my question is this: Do you get sleepy/tired while you read? If so, how long into reading a book/magazine does it happen?
I don't usually fall asleep if the book is really interesting. But I still do sometimes.

I only get sleepy while reading if I am tired and still squezzed time to read a page or chapter before turning in for a night's rest.

Certain factors that can make me sleep while are if I am very tired, if the page I am reading is extremely boring, and if I just finished eating a heavy meal.

I definitely have! I found that if I turn on some intsrumental music, it helps me stay awake.

Yes, you are very correct. Nevertheless, it does not work if you are tired or stressed out.

It happens sometimes while I am tired. I generally concentrate deep inside the story while I am reading so I usually don't feel sleepy while I am reading.

Rarely it depends on the book. But, if I am already tired due to my day then I get sleepy while reading.

Only if it's too late and I'm quite tired, but in most cases, I wouldn't sleep on a book or fall asleep while reading.
