Since the official review, I think that AudioBooks has upped their game a bit. There are many more books on than there used to be. I am always finding a more and more books to listen to.

A recommendation for when you might decide to purchase an AudioBook, ALWAYS listen to the sample. The thing about AudioBooks is that the narrator may not be to your liking. I found a series a couple years ago that I was listening to and where I loved the book itself, I needed to stop listening to it, due to the monotone slow reader. However, recently I discovered a reader that I LOVE. She reads as though each character is a completely different reader, when it fact it is just her. She brings the book alive, gives the characters the voice described exactly as the writer wrote.

Where I LOVE a book in my hand, more so than a kindle, I do not always have the ability to read. I have to clean the house, do yard work, drive somewhere, actually work at a job (depending no your job), etc. These are the times I throw on the audiobook and get moving. It is a great way to be able to hear all the wonderful stories written for the world to hear and still get your everyday work done.

I highly recommend AudioBooks, especially for those always on the move.
It's Always Worth the Read.

I've definitely heard that audiobooks.com isn't as good as audible. It's really a shame. I haven't been able to find any amazing audiobook sites that really compete with audible.

Good to know there is an alternative to Audible, less good to know it isn’t better.

Thanks for the review. Audible allows you to return a book if you don’t like it and then you can reuse your credit. Do Audiobooks do the same?

TheMusicalMuse wrote: 03 May 2015, 17:19 Do I understand correctly that your subscription gets you one book per month? Is that what you mean by book credit? So essentially, I'm buying an audio book every month, with the option of buying another one if I choose?
That's how I read it too and was a turn off for me. I do listen to audiobooks and typically am through one within a couple days. I'll stick to Kindle and Amazon Prime options for now.
