I really enjoy paranormal. I like to delve into things extraordinary.

Paranormal! Dark is sexy! Moonlight, candles, storms, all that. Some creepy creatures whatever. All fun :)

Historical romance is my top favorite since it combines my two favorite genres. But paranormal romance is a pretty close second. Combine all three and I am a happy camper!

My favorite is definitely paranormal. I love everything shapeshifter, werewolf, vampire etc. There's just something about the genre that appeals to me, maybe it's the fantastical element that's so far from reality not sure though.

I go in phases of which I want to read. I'll go through a period of reading 10 historical fiction books, then modern, sci-fi, etc. I think they all have different things that I'm looking for. Historical romantic fiction brings me to another time, paranormal brings me to another world, modern makes me wish my life was like these novels. I think no matter the sub-genre I enjoy it because it's like I can go through this whole romance with these characters. I can have so many different relationships and loves!

I've read a little from each category, and I find it depends largely on the mood I'm in. Some days a contemporary romance is exactly what I'm looking for. Other days, I want the escape into the paranormal. Then there are days when I find myself wishing for "the good old days" when men were true gentlemen. There are so many variations that I've come across that I can't pick just one. Some days I want the bad boy bikers or underground fighters, other days I want the valor and unimpeachable honour of the military men. Being able to bounce between the various sub-genres keeps things interesting.

For romance I like modern or paranormal. For erotica I like paranormal, I like the idea that even in an alternate universe people still give into their emotions.

But I have to say Katie MacAlister is my all time favourite romance writer. I adore her relatable characters, and her books are just non-stop page turners and she drops in jokes so funny I sincerely laugh out loud.

Ditto.
I don't have a favorite Paranormal Romance author, I've liked just about everything in that genre that I've been lucky enough to read. I love love love Julia Quinn for Historical Romance, she's has a knack for creating fun and strong heroines and well rounded male leads. Plus it's Regency which is always a win with me.

Paranormal is by far my favorite. Historical books are hard to read sometimes. I love modern books as well, but I can't seen to get over the vampire/werewolf obsession I have.

I personally prefer both historical and modern settings for any sort of romances that I read.
Historical is able to draw me into another time, and into another life, whereas modern is typically more relatable; that's probably why I like those subgenres the best.
Paranormal has never quite been my cup of tea, though. I don't know what about it, but I can never seem to immerse myself in a paranormal novel of any kind.

Mostly historical, although I enjoy modern as well.

Definitely historical romance, or just historical. It seems more fun to daydream with a historical setting.
