It was last year, when I went to meet a friend at Barnes and Noble during their clearance sale (awesome by the way). And The Giver is an amazing book, I hope you got it in hard copy!

I was in a book store approximately two or three weeks ago. I love my Kobo and the convenience of eBooks, but nothing replaces the child-like joy I experience being surrounded by books. For many years bookstores and libraries were a second home to me. I love the way books look lined neatly on the shelves, I love the smell of the pages, something so unique to them, I love the ability to pick up a novel and be transported anywhere in the world, at any time.

A shocking ten months ago! I'm an expat in Fiji, and there aren't book stores here outside of the academic, religious, or children's variety. I've never been so grateful to have an e-reader before this. At least I can still get books on Kindle!

I love books so I normally visit a book shop once a week. I don't necessarily buy anything each time but go in for the smell of the coffee and the new books also :)
