My phone is just a distraction so I usually leave it in another room so I'm not tempted to check my messages! (though if the book is engaging then I don't ever want to stop!)

No. I may read the entire day and night. I do not answer all calls or even bother to look immediately at who is calling until I come to a place in book that I am willing to pause.

No, but people seldom call for me, so I may let the machine take the message if I'm really in the zone.

There are so many times during the course of a day where I want to turn my phone off.. or at least turn off the ringer. But I don't. Because someone might be trying to get a hold of me in an emergency and I would honesty hate to have to tell them that my phone was turned off or I was ignoring their call.

No, I do not turn my phone off, besides it's on vibrate 75% of the time so if I see or feel it ring, I'll get it other wise I check the voicemail or missed calls later.

No but I do tend to ignore it until I have finished the chapter or page!

I never use my phone other than for very important calls, so leaving it on while I read has never really been a problem for me.

Hahaha. My answer is no. There is no point. No one ever calls me. If I get a message, I will just see it the next time I check my phone anyway.

I don't, but I probably should. If I get a text or call I can't just ignore it. Not to mention I've got a terribly short attention span and I always end up doing something on my phone instead of reading. Oops.

No, but I may silence the phone depending on what is going on.

No, but only because I seldom get any calls. I'm not a very social person. Sometimes, I forget that I left it on silent, too, during school.

My phone is always off, so yes. I don't really use my phone unless I go out and nobody ever calls or texts anyway (Forever Alooone!!). But my computer is always on even when I'm reading because the internet is currently my main source of pretty much everything .

No, but it is currently set to go into Auto lock in 5 minutes. I am constantly having to enter the password, but it keeps the battery level up.

I agree with the majority; phone stays on with a cursory glance to see if the message/call may be urgent and if not a reply at the end of the chapter =)

I have to, I have this compulsion to answer texts so I will be so agitated if my phone goes off while I'm reading
