I feel I skim more than skip. I especially do this with books that have too much description or the plot/pacing is dragging. I just read the dialogue to know what's going on with the story and when it gets "better" I return to reading every word. I know that seems silly, but usually context clues let me know what I "missed" without having to go back and long paragraphs of action that doesn't pertain greatly to the story.

No! Sometimes I may skim paragraphs but I get so lost and confused when I skip pages or skim through paragraphs, so I typically don't.

I've never skipped pages - only skim through them. Even if the pace is too slow, I don't want to feel like I'm missing out on something important.

Can't do it. EVER. I would rather just stop reading the book than skip pages.

Sometimes. And if it happens, I'd consider DNF-ing the book and look for another I would enjoy and love.

Skipping pages? No.

I live in fear of missing a key detail and losing my train of thought in the story. Missing information puts a black spot on the picture the author and I have created in my head. I often go back and reread entire paragraphs and chapters to make sure I fully understand what is going on. This helps me appreciate the book further.

As a tween, I would read 300-page books in just a few hours. “Surely I must be cheating somehow?” is what many people thought. No, I don’t skip pages because otherwise I would be really confused about the plot. I do notice I skip paragraphs sometimes though, when I find a particular section to be boring or whatnot.

No, I never do this. In fact, I do have a tendency to become overscrupulous sometimes, which I do not find pleasing when I want to go through a book quickly. So I can never skip anything while reading. It would feel to me like I didn't read the book at all.

I do not remember me doing something like that. If I don't like a book, I just stop reading it. If the whole page is filled with trash, then there’s definitely something wrong with this book.

I could never skip any part, even if i'm not enjoying the book. I'm stubborn and will suffer through just to be thorough and complete! Yep weird :/
