A couple of hours... when traveling long distances by car, all I do is read non-stop so I get through a 300 page book pretty quickly. No distractions.
Life without a good book is something MrsCatInTheHat cannot imagine.

During my childhood i was a big fan of The Hardy Boys series by Franklin W Dixon. I used to issue a book from my library read it in one day and return it the next morning. I have read dozens of books like this. :)

I have read a book in a day before but generally it's short of maybe 100-200 pages, most of the time my minimum is at least 4 days, kind of depending on the book too as I have a hard time not wanting to quit reading the book even if it is not very good.

I'm not a fast reader so the minimum time that took me to finish reading a book was a day. The last book I did that time in was Think Better. Live Better by Joel Osteen. It's a self help book.

hmm, maybe a few days. I don't think I've ever finished a book all in one day.

I only remember one... it was in school, I got a book (with permission from my Guardian because it was for 18+). I got the book just before homeroom and by the time the homeroom bell rung I was in the library again handing it back, read. See, in school both librarians were Mrs. Brown. So the younger one gave me the book, and the blonde one saw me come in and asked if I would like to get the book because it was brought in. I handed it back to her and mentioned it was read. I think that tickled her pink. Naturally I got another book later on that day.

I am normally a slower reader, but I did read "Frankenstein" in a night. Literally I could not put it down.
That was years ago, now when I go to bed I am lucky to read twenty pages. Sigh.....

I am currently reading a quilt series by Jennifer Chiaverini. I am reading a book a day. The average of the book is about 400 pages. If I could just sit and read and not do the responsible adult thing like cook and clean, I could get through it in about 4-6 hours.

Mostly depends on the book but I average around 5 to 6 hours. That's with no major interruptions.

The shortest time I have ever read a book is 2 hours. I have finished reading 3 books of the nancy drew series without interruption.
