Usually only one at a time. Sometimes I'll start a second one if it has very short chapters or is non fiction but it takes me a lot longer to read the second book as I get too engrossed in the first one.

I wonder how possible that could be but as for me I do one book at a time and that's enough for my little head.

I mostly read at least 2-3 books at once. If one book is boring or didn't cough my interest after 100 pages, I move to another one, then I come back to one I left and start again.

Way too many lol. I have bookmarks in various places in at least six I can think of immediately, but I feel like there's more than that... Dean Koontz's Fear Nothing, Pandora's Star by Peter Hamilton, Becoming Supernatural by Joe Dispenza, a couple of books by Pam Grout and I'm very nearly finished with Lamb by Christopher Moore.

I tend to read two books at a time; a book for the car, and a book for the house. My "car book" is usually an anthology, so I can read it at any pace.

3.

Morning, Noon and Night.

Was taught many subjects in school with different books. Hence it was cultivated in me to continue this type of learning. * Whatever terms are being used...

After I started reading ebooks I often read one ebook and one paper book. I read them at different hours of the day and try to pick novels with very different stories if not different genres to try to avoid confusion.

I prefer to read just one, but I'm often reading at least two. I have so many different interests that it's hard for me to stick with just one book at a time.

I usually only read one book at once because I do not want to get confused by reading multiple books at a time. I even get confused and forget parts of a book when I do not read for just a couple of days. Focusing on one book at a time is much easier for me and if I want to read another book. it encourages me to keep reading my current book so I can read another and not just abandon the first book halfway through reading it.

I usually only read one book at a time so I can fully concentrate on that story and become really involved. However, I am able to read 2 at a time (or 3, if I'm forced). Obviously, I won't be able to appreciate them in the same way, but I could still get the gist and relay the plot if asked.

I usually read only one book.
But in rare instances when I want to read a serious book slowly, I usually read a lighter book.

About 2. One with a hardcover so I can read at home. The other one smaller in size so I can read through transit.
