They are relevant some people enjoy reading books in the company of other readers and also it's good for those who are working on a tight budget.

Library here in town used to be great a few years ago. But now these days the library barely gets any new books or eve movies to rent. Library still has a couple of bookshelves full of old dusty westerns from like 50 years ago.

Plus checking out a new book for a week or two does not give you the time to read a book to the end.

If I want a new bad i could just go for a road trip to a city that has a Barnes and Noble store and buy the book im looking for etc

Due to COVID, I can't go to the physical library unless I make an appointment to pick up holds. However, I believe that libraries are still very relevant today. They provide access to reading materials, support services, and internet that are hard to find elsewhere. Libraries are extremely important to those who would otherwise be unable to afford these services.

They are relevant. Even though nowadays it's easier to read books while you are at your home, libraries still be the easiest way for someone to read.

I suppose libraries are still relevant.
For schools in particular especially for books that are rare and or expensive.
And for solitude, so one can read without being disturbed.

My local library has so many different books of all sorts of genres and languages. I always have on order many books from there.

I absolutely believe that libraries are still relevant. I go at least once a week to get new books to read and they always have so many different programs happening to catch my eye. If I could, I would work in a library in a heartbeat.

Libraries are definitely relevant in my opinion. 90% of the books I have read were from the library. Unfortunately, I haven't managed to go recently but I still use the library's ebook service.

I'm a former librarian, and while they are struggling, libraries are still quite relevant. But if they don't find a new way to become relevant, they will slowly fade to nothing.

Nothing can beat the feel of a physical book. E-books are convenient, but the old-school charm is hard to let go of! If given a choice I would always choose a physical over an e-book. :ugeek2:

I am mostly reading ebooks right now but I still go to the library and I have to buy at least 1 book. Yeah, we can find almost everything on the internet, but some books you still only find in libraries, so I think they're still relevant.

Oh, yes! The library is still very relevant. It’s an amazing wonderland of books to choose from and you don’t have to buy them. I love it. I’ve also gone to talks that are given by authors that I love. I got to meet an author I admired. Also, libraries have resources and information for people who may not be able to find those things otherwise. It has computers for people who don’t have access anywhere else. And it’s a cool place on a hot day and a warm place on a cold day for people who have nowhere else to go. It’s amazing.

Libraries are still relevant for me. Even if I don't borrow books from it sometimes, it still provides a serene and quiet atmosphere for reading.
