Very carefully...

Usually with two hands, or laid flat on a table.

That's typically what I do as well. If I'm sitting up I usually hold to the book with both hands, too. Only hold a book one-handed if it's a paperback.

Usually lay it on a table or hold it with my fingers on the cover/spine and thumb on the inside at the bottom of the spine.

I take care of my books and hold them with both hands.

I have a special pillow that my son gave me for reading so I sit with that on my lap and all I have to do is hold the book open with one hand which helps because I have arthritis in my hands and they hurt if I have to hold a book too long so this way I can read for longer periods of time. The pillow is pretty cool. It is pyramid shaped with a base that holds the books and it has a tassel on a rope attached to the top so I can use it as a place holder.

I always laying on my stomach on my bed with my book tilted up about 45 degrees. I use both hands and only open the book to a maximum angle of 90 degrees so i don't bend the cover. My collection is the most important thing in my room and I do my best to keep them in great condition!

I have lazy about holding books which makes it hard for be to keep a specific position. If i am sitting at a table ill usually put it flat down and use one hand to keep it from closing, or lay half way across the table well siting arms stretched out holding the book with two hands. If i am siting in a big chair i will put my legs up and put the book between them and hold it open with one hand or just sit holding it open with my thumb in the middle other fingers in the back.

After years of having children or pets cradled in one arm while reading I can hold a book in front of my face and turn pages with the same hand...takes some practice

Sometimes one hand, sometimes both. Sometimes with paper backs I bend the book in half.

Two hands mostly, but usually with my right hand and my left hand holding my head up.

Well it depends on the size of the book and what else I am doing. Sometimes I use one hand while laying down or sometimes I use both hands sitting up. Sometimes I even read while walking around. I am always careful with the books and try not to cause any damage. I don't like to dogear the books so I always use a bookmark or just remember the page number.

When I was younger I would bend the books and crack the binding and bend the page corners to mark my page and didn't really care much for the care of my books, now however, I find myself holding the books with two hands and trying my hardest to not crack the binding and I don't bend the page corners anymore.

Varies depending on the book and the position I'm reading in. If it's a book I hold in high regard sometimes I barely even open in because I'm so scared of spine damage
