I prefer action because its keeps you glued on the book. Romance is good too, but you can easily guess what's going to happen in every scenes.

Action any day. Good descriptions, suspense, relevant hooks at the right places have a way to my heart.

It's definitely action for me! I have zero tolerance for romance. Alexa play Sorry I'm An Anti-Romantic by TXT.

action packed romance. or a tion but never a pure romance. I especially can't put up with super sappy stories.

Action over romance anytime. As a matter of fact I find myself skimming over the romance parts in books. I prefer mysteries and thrillers but I will read anything with a good story line. I try to read many genres and authors.

ROMANCE every time! I'm always on edge when it comes close to the characters finally getting together, especially when things turn naughty

I prefer action but I read most of genres in general. No problem with romance at all.

Most days its action for me. Don't get me wrong though, there are definitely days when I'm in the mood for a girly romance novel but action will always make my jaw drop and my heart race.

I like action mixed with romance. Full romance isn't appealing to me unless it's something fresh and new and different.

I think for a romance book to be effective, it has to have a plot that doesn't completely revolve around the relationship between the two characters. So that's why I like a bit of action and romance - but action is always more enjoyable with a bit of tension and romance between two people.
If I had to choose, then romance.

I would definitely choose romance now. Maybe when I was young I would have chosen action. As I grew older I was just more interested in romance. Am not saying that I would not read a good action novel.
