YES!!! I'd rather read one of my books than to sit and be lulled into the TV, or read one of the many boring magazines laying around in the office.

I've never done this but it certainly sounds like a good idea!

I take a book as well. I also take a book when I go out with my son to his course or other places where I have to pass the time.

Always ... and to the dentist and the hairdresser and the beautician and the supermarket etc etc
I am always accompanied by either a book or my Kindle .. the only time I'm not accompanied by a book is when I go swimming.

Always! I find that waiting for the appointment without a book makes the time pass so slow. I would rather have a book in my hand to keep me occupied. I go everywhere with a book in hand. You never know when you will have to do something to pass the time.

Yes! I have books on my phone and I bring a hook that my daughter can play with/read to keep her occupied as well.

I always do. My doctor is notoriously late, and I'm always early. Usually I get there 10 minutes early, and end up having to wait up to 40 minutes, so it's good to have some reading material with me.

I get squirrely waiting even briefly with nothing to read...so I'm always prepared. Any handbag I buy has to be big enough for three books minimum.

I always have a book in my bag. I can't stand the TV on and those boring magazines.

I take my Kindle everywhere I go. My doctor's office usually has the television turned to a news channel that says the same information over and over. I also take a paperback or puzzle book so if someone is with me, the will not be bored.

Of course! I couldn't stand the boredom if I didn't have a book to read while I waited.

I always have a book with me just in case I find myself having to wait for something and especially when I go to the doctor because I don't like to touch magazines in a doctor's office where other sick people have been reading them and probably filled them with their germs.

I never go to a doctor's office without a book! For as far back as I can remember I've always taken a book with me.
