So many books......

How do you keep up? Between reading books for review and the wonderful BOTD, I could be reading 24/7! I'm hung up on the one I'm reading for review and feeling bogged down. Any suggestions??

I wish I could find the time to read even more. I feel bogged down by other activities, so I'm trying to see if I can discard any of them to have more time for reading.
Ciao :)

If you're really not enjoying it then put it down for a few days. Do something else or read something else if you really want to! Then go back to the book in a fresh state of mind

I did just that and then finished it in one day. Great suggestion!

I find that if my mindset is that reading is an assignment, my pace slows down significantly, so for me it's a matter of shaking myself and finding the joy in it

Always try to find the book that interests you the most. When you see the book you want to read, make sure to take breaks here and there so you won't damage your eyes. Once you finished your book, take your time to collect your thoughts about the book and review it.

It might be a while for you to get used to it but once you do, you're a natural. Trust me. I was like that when I was new. Thinking that I might not make it as a reviewer. But always know that every skill you have will improve overtime.

Thank you. I appreciate the encouragement. Sometimes I choose a book and it's so slow or not easy to read I get bogged down. But I do keep a couple of easy reads for in between and i just got a book of short stories so that will help too. I really liked doing reviews. How long have you been at it?

I'm always reading at least two books at once, and it's easy to get stuck or overwhelmed. It helps me to put the books down for a while and focus on something else to clear my head before coming back to them.

Reading should be fun! If you feel overwhelmed maybe take a break for a day before going back to it?

Only select books to review that you think you'll really, truly enjoy. Even if it's for pay, life's too short to be miserable while reading of all things.

The BOTD is great, but don't pressure yourself to read every single one. Prioritize your reading. Keep yourself happy.

I would rather read books that I think I'm going to enjoy. Since I'm not in school anymore, then I don't have to worry about reading for an assignment or anything like that. So, I can read for the fun of it now and it's awesome. Pick books that you enjoy or that you'll think you'll enjoy. It'll be so much more fun and you'll be less likely to get bogged down when you're trying to read.

I love reading, but those days when I am not in the mood, I don't read. I also sometimes am fed up with reading on the Kindle and taking notes for the review, in that case I always have a paper book on my bedside table to read for fun.
