I also tend to read in the car and on buses, but I have a strong stomach so I don't think automobile reading is for everyone

At first I thought it said that you stuffed a cat under your neck! Glad I misread that.ALynnPowers wrote:Recently I have been reading while lying down with a stuffed cat shoved up under my neck. Super comfy.

For your back and butt, I would recommend trying to do some gentle stretches and exercise... it might help ease the pain and make it easier to sit to read. Also try different types of chairs. I hope you find relief.

I'm not a doctor... however it sounds like you may have a sciatic nerve problem. Laying flat helps me with that. The kindle is nice because it is not heavy or cumbersome to hold up while I am laying that way.Rumsfeld wrote:I have a hard time sitting down when reading. It sounds like that to me too. To help relieve the pain you can also take a couple Aleve. This really helped me with pain relief when I had the problem and could not properly rest the nerve because of my jobs at the time. I hope this helps!lincolnp wrote:I'm not a doctor... however it sounds like you may have a sciatic nerve problem. Laying flat helps me with that.
