Hmmm.. that's a tough one.

NOT. Twilight seems so frivolous and vain compared to HG. While Bella Swan is describing how heart breakingly beautifully Edward Cullen is, Katniss is partaking in what is a sick and extreme version of Survivor Vanuatu except less with the Vanuatu and more of other teenagers trying to kill you, wasps that cause you to swell up like a giant pus bubble and ferocious mutated dogs with human eyes. While a vampire and a werewolf have testosterone fueled fights over a weak human girl, Katniss is leading a freaking revolution. While Edward and Bella is contemplating having sex or not because it's too risky, Katniss is left broken from the loss of her friends and sister. Hunger Games makes you FEEL. I can't say the same about Twilight.

The Hunger Games has a few more applications to real life and themes in it that you can really get invested in

I like Hunger Games more. I personally think Isabella Swan is selfish. She's more focused on what was best for her and totally unaware of what her actions mean to everybody around her. While Katniss Everdeen is not. I think she's more adaptable to her situations and her struggles. She faces life in the eyes and I love it more than being uncertain who I loved most like Bella does.

I think you should put the books that come under the same genre. Then the comparison would be meaningful. Still I like twilight over hunger games.

I like the Hunger Games more. I almost didn't read the Twilight books, my Mom let me borrow her copies. I liked them, but I like the adventure and plot in the Hunger Games books.

I have to say that after reading through all the posts on here there were some great points brought up. They are different genres and that does make a difference. Now that being said, I own both series and I have read both more than once. I like twilight, but now that I am getting older it is getting harder to read all the way through. It is definitely more for fantasy and the writing does bother me because there are quite a few errors. I absolutely love the Hunger Games and I thought the first movie was good but the second one was superb. They followed the book almost exactly. So I have to go with Hunger games.

I haven't read either series, but I have watched the films. I have to say, it was a major hype over Twilight for a good while, but since Hunger Games entered the picture, you can pretty much tell who was grasping the audiences. Both good series, but I prefer something where I need to really think as to all the "behind messages" hidden within Hunger Games, it is very complex, there is no one story. This series practically has unexpected layers, and its beyond interesting.

I would have to go with Huger Games. It was more original and a more interesting read. I would have to say they could have done better on both sets of movies.

The Hunger Games! Its about more than a border line "obsessive" love. I like books that have more to them than that. The hunger games just had so much to it that I couldn't put them down!
